Yield Boost Project at Frigolouro-Coren in Porriño, Spain - 2021-2022
DMRI’s Enhanced Yield Boost project major goal is to increase the value of the carcasses by improving the yields at the cutting and deboning floor. It runs for one year, requires no investment in new equipment, and it takes reference on the company’s baseline.
The Success Fee concept ensures a continuous positive cash flow for the company during the whole project. DMRI provides all the necessary training and coaching of operators and supervisors in how to improve yields and utilization of the manning. The ongoing yields and deviations are objectively monitored by the Yield Manager software tool.
The concept was presented to Mr. Miguel Sarria, COO from Frigolouro-Coren, who immediately found potentials in the new Enhanced Yield Boost.
A really good colaboration work between our pork meat factory (Frigolouro from Coren Group) and DMRI has been established from last year, since we started to use their yield boost program. The implementation of this kind of practical program from DMRI is a very good chance to focus in what really matters in our profesional area: get the best possible meat yield at the cutting area. Using their skilled advisory and permanent checking from their consultants during the program time we could clearly increase the meat yields in our cutting factory. With an open cooperation with DMRI from the begining we have achived not only significant savings, but also better quality results and more standarized way of producing in the daliy work. Even better economic result than expected
With DMRI’s Enhanced Yield Boost and involvement of the entire staff in Frigolouro, the project finished with even better economic result than expected, showing great increase in value and quality improvements.
Since the beginning of the cooperation, Frigolouro has also profited from new work methods and managers getting more continued focus on Key-Control-Points and Key-Figure-Management. This has for sure helped Frigolouro to secure more uniform meat cuts.
