3D printing production - 3D printing for medical applications
Select Page
The medical industry has traditionally been one of the major drivers in the development of Additive Manufacturing. Historically, the technology has primarily been used for prototypes in plastic, but nowadays the manufacture of individually customized implants with 3D printing is routine, and both the potential and the interest are increasing - e.g. along with the possibility of printing organic material.
One of the key advantages of Additive Manufacturing, which also benefits the medical industry, is the ability to quickly develop and launch new products. On the basis of scans, it is also possible to print individually adapted items with very short delivery time - e.g. implants for patients with urgent needs.
Let us help you with AM production
In the Center for Industrial 3D Printing, we have solved a number of Additive Manufacturing tasks for companies in the medical industry, including both development and printing of finished components for the appliance industry, and we print in a variety of plastic and metal materials, which are also approved to be inserted into the body.
