Guideline for energy upgrading of buildings for low energy class 2015 and building class 2020
Project start March 1st 2015. Ended in September 1st 2018.
Purpose of project
The project aim is to develop guidelines for optimising energy savings, economy and CO2-reduction in connection with energy upgrading to low energy level based on two apartment buildings: Traneparken nearly achieved a low energy class 2015 level; Sems have achieved a building class 2020 level. Both apartment buildings have new ventilation systems, PV-systems and better daylighting.
Objectives
The governments climate plan from 2013 has the objective of creating a society that is independent of fossil fuels after 2050. This objective calls for a significant improvement in energy efficiency and an increase in renewable energy. According to 'Energistyrelsens' statistics, construction make up for 35% of the overall energy consumption in Denmark, thus deeming an improvement in the buildings' energy efficiency crucial.
Activities
The project is divided into five work packages:
- Documentation of energy savings and indoor air quality in both cases
- Construction and calibration of a moel of each building after energy upgrading, using ASCOT/BYGSOL program
- Parameter variations with ASCOT/BYGSOL of the constructe models
- Development of guidelines of in-depth energy upgrading of apartment buildings
- Dissemination of the projects results
