ISTQB Foundation (UK)

This ISTQB Foundation gives you an international certificate within software testing. You will get a professional approach to testing and quality assurance as well as a recognized terminology. You will learn about the best practice within the subject, become familiar with the different areas or software testing and receive training in constructing test cases using the different testing techniques.

Virtual course

You also can participate in this course virtually. Here the course is held over 4 days.
 
You participate from your computer and have access to both the instructor and the other participants via camera and microphone on your computer, and you can raise your hand and ask questions along the way. The training alternates between exercises in groups, individual tasks and conversations in plenary to ensure your active participation.
 
You will receive an exam voucher and can take your exam online.

Prerequisites

The course has no prerequisites, but we recommend having worked with testing and QA in at least 6 months, before taking the course.

Content

During the course, you will be taught in the topics that are included in the exam. The course includes both theoretical presentations, practical exercises, and classroom discussions. There will generally be high participant activity. You must expect approximately 10 hours for reading and preperation before the start of the course, as well as 2 hours of homework in the evenings, after class.

The course is an ISTQB-approved certification course. It covers:

  • Testing principles
  • Testing throughout the software lifecycle
  • Static techniques
  • Testing techniques
  • Test planning and management
  • Tools that support testing

Certification

You will have the opportunity to complete a practice exam before the final exam on the last day of the course.

Pass rate: The passing rate for the certification is approax. 94%

Number of Questions: 40

Duration: 1 hour

Format: Multiple Choise, closed book.

You must have 65 % correct answers to pass the exam. The price for exam is included in the course.
